Beehive Prep School Welcomes New Headteacher

Beehive Prep School based in Redbridge is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Jansen as its new Headteacher, beginning in December 2025.

Ms Jansen brings over two decades of experience in primary education, having worked extensively in inner London schools since arriving in the UK in 1999. Her career has spanned roles from supply teacher to Assistant Head and Deputy Head, giving her a wealth of leadership experience and a deep understanding of how to nurture children’s learning and development.

Education has always been central to Ms Jansen’s life. Growing up in South Africa in a family of teachers, she was inspired by her father, who founded a small primary school very similar to Beehive Prep. She said: “Those early experiences shaped my understanding of what a truly great school looks like: a place filled with love, care and a genuine sense of community.”

Reflecting on her first visit to Beehive Prep, Ms Jansen recalls being struck by the school’s warmth and ethos: “It reminded me so much of my father’s school – that same commitment to knowing every child as an individual, and that same dedication to creating an environment where children feel safe, happy and able to flourish.”

Her vision for Beehive Prep is to build on its strong foundations while bringing fresh energy and ideas from her years of experience in diverse London schools. “Taking on the role of Headteacher at Beehive feels like the perfect next chapter in my journey. It combines everything I’ve learned with the values and vision that first inspired me to become a teacher.”

Beehive Prep is an independent primary school for children aged 2.5 to 11, offering a nurturing and community‑focused education.
